27 Oct Homemade Sugar Scrub
This easy DIY sugar scrub is a delightful way to keep your skin soft, smooth, and glowing — all with simple, natural ingredients. It gently exfoliates while deeply moisturising, leaving your skin feeling fresh and silky. Plus, it makes a thoughtful handmade gift when stored in small glass jars.

You’ll need:
- ½ cup coconut oil
- ¼ cup sugar
- Optional: 2 tbsp citrus zest or 10 drops of your favourite essential oil (lavender, eucalyptus, etc.)
- Optional: 1 tsp vitamin E oil.

Steps:
- In a small glass bowl, combine the room-temperature coconut oil and sugar. Use a spoon or fork to mix until you achieve a thick, grainy texture.
- Add the optional ingredients — citrus zest for a refreshing scent, essential oils for aromatherapy benefits, or vitamin E oil for extra nourishment. Stir well.
- Transfer the scrub to an airtight container and seal tightly. It will keep for up to two months at room temperature (a little less if you’ve added zest).

To use:
- Scoop a small amount and massage into your skin in gentle circular motions for about 20 seconds.
- Rinse with warm water and pat dry. Your skin will feel rejuvenated, silky, and beautifully moisturised.

Simple, sustainable, and luxurious — this homemade sugar scrub is a treat your skin will thank you for.
